Engineered Fills

The BH Group is a nationally recognized contractor in the use of Low Density Cellular Concrete (LDCC) for Geotech and Engineered Fill applications. LDCC is a carefully blended mixture of cement, water, and cellular foam capable of producing a variety of concretes having dry densities of 15 PCF to more than 100 PCF, and compressive strengths ranging between 20 and 2000 PSI depending on the mix design.

LDCC is used for:

• Improvement of unstable soil conditions
• Enhancement of landscape loading capability over underground structures
• Stabilization of bridge approaches
• Economic filling of abandoned underground pipes, tanks, mines, etc.
• Superior energy shock absorption
• Excellent backfill, bedding and annular fill
